Lourdes was born in Morelia Michoacán Mexico. She studied Dentistry at U.M.S.N.H. and she obtained a scholarship to study Prosthesis and Occlusion at the Center for Research and Specialization in Oral Rehabilitation in Mexico City D.F. She was a professor at the School of Dentistry for 25 years and is currently retired. Lourdes is now the Founding President of the Asociación Michoacana de Dentistas A.C., and the Colegio Los Dentistas de Michoacán A.C. Her Mission has been the constant update of Dentists since 1983 to date. For two years she has been working for the Centro Multicultural La Familia, supporting the Ventanilla de Salud of the Consulate of Mexico in Detroit. Her job has been to support and give talks on Oral Health, reaching a large number of people. Lourdes loves her profession and being able to help others gives her happiness. Her family is her priority, and her work has allowed her to be self-sufficient.
Centro Multicultural La Familia (Centro) is a non-profit organization offering a broad range of services from support for survivors to mental health care and community education. While we provide culturally specific services to Latinx and/or Hispanic individuals, we offer services to a broader cultural community in need.
