Community Services

All of the Community Programs and Events provided by Centro Multicultural La Familia (Centro)
are available in English and Spanish.

Assistance with Medicaid/Health Insurance Applications

We assist with applications for Medicaid, food stamps and cash assistance thanks to funding received from Blue Cross Blue Shield. We have a safe office setting with computers that the public can use to apply to programs and access these benefits themselves.

For more information, please contact Carol Sisiruca: 248-858-7800 ext. 108 or [email protected].

Language Access

Translation of Documents

Centro is able to translate a variety of documents for community members. We believe that language access is key to empower our clients. We recommend a two-week notice for documents. Examples of documents we are able to translate include:

  • Birth and marriage certificates, permission to travel and more.
  • Business documents, such as manuals, procedures and surveys.
  • Notary services are also available.
  • Flyers for events, services or fairs.

For more information, please contact our office: 248-858-7800.

Language Interpretation at St. Joseph Mercy’s Women’s Clinic

We offer language interpretation at the Women’s Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Here, bilingual staff provide interpretation assistance between pregnant women and their physician so they can communicate more effectively and have better and healthier experiences while pregnant and birthing.

For more information, please call Priscila Holt at 248-858-3643.
